NEWS & RUMORS 2/5/01: RHINO, JERRY LYNN, ACOLYTES, XFL and more. Last week the WWF signed JUSTIN CREDIBLE, now they have come to verbal agreements with RHINHO and JERRY LYNN. It is not known when any of them will debut. Also, this past week, WCW released DAFFNEY, PAISLEY, MAJOR GUNNS, TYGRESS, and LEIA MEOW. The WWF is said to be interested in MEOW, GUNNS, and DAFFNEY. The ACOLYTES are expected to recieve a push soon. It is not known weather they will be pushed as a team, or be split up. The XFL made its big debut this weekend. A few different rules, new, and in my opinion better, camera angles. Next weekend UPN moves its XFL coverage to p.m. to make way for TNN's coverage at 4 p.m. The March issue of the WWF magazine was relesed to subscribers this week. There are two collectible covers this month, one has ROCK with STEVE AUSTIN in the background, the other has AUSTIN with the ROCK in the backgorund. Both are titled "Watch Your Back." The magazine features articles on K-KWIK, THE HOLLYS, STEVE BLACKMAN, a pullout poster of TRISH STRATUS, and more. It is still unclear whether or not SHAWN MICHAELS will be wrestling at WRESTLEMANIA but it is looking more likely that he will be at Wrestlemania in some fashion. This past Saturday, at a house show in GREENSBORO,NC, a new HARDCORE CHAMPION was crowned. K-KWIK became champion by pinning RAVEN, but he lost the belt moments later to CRASH HOLLY. Raven regained the belt by defeating Crash shortly after the previous change. This is not the first time this happened. Last fall CRASH beat BLACKMAN for the Hradcore title but lost it back moments later. Now to touch up on some injuries: EDDY GUERRERO and X-PAC returned this past Saturday. Eddy might be at RAW Monday, X-Pac's TV return date is still unclear. DEAN MALENKO is expected to return to action in a week or two. GANGREL will return later this month. |
